Asmawi bemoans FAS internal power struggle
Former Selangor player, Asmawi Bakiri, is disappointed that people are trying to bring down current Football Association of Selangor (FAS) President, Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
Tengku Amir made a shocking revelation by stating that there are efforts being made by a certain few to organise an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). It is said that they are seeking to replace the entire FAS exco, including the president’s post.
And Asmawi insists that this will be a huge loss for the Selangor camp as there have been positive changes since the appointment of Tengku Amir as president last July.
“This will be a big loss to all parties involved. It will complicate and have a negative impact on the Raja Muda of Selangor’s plans for the association in 2019.
“Instead, they should all reach a compromise and solve this matter as soon as possible. The internal struggle at FAS seems to be never ending. Everytime there is a new management in place, there will be those who are unhappy,” said Asmawi.
