Chelsea offered chance to sign Isco
Real Madrid have offered Chelsea the chance to sign out-of-favour midfielder Isco in a RM236 million deal next month.
According Spanish national daily sport newspaper, Marca, the Galaticos are trying to offload players to make way for a move for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window while also complying with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
27-year-old Isco has struggled to hold down a regular place in the team under coach Zinedine Zidane, starting just five of Real’s 18 league games so far this season.
And it has been reported that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is looking to strengthen his squad after being handed a RM840 million transfer budget, with Isco being a strong favourite.
But the Spain international, who has made close to 300 appearances for Real Madrid, has also emerged as a January transfer target for defending Premier League champions Manchester City.
