Fernandes wins Player of the Month award
Manchester United’s new signing, Bruno Fernandes, has been crowned the Premier League’s Player of the Month for February.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in the nine games he has featured for the club since his RM359.71 million move from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window, with five of them coming in the Premier League.
But despite his instant impact in England, the 25-year-old told Sky Sports, “We can talk about a new start after Bruno, but it’s not about Bruno, it’s about the team.
“One player doesn’t change a team. A team changes when everyone pushes together for the same side.
“I want to be the best I can and if it is possible be remembered like one of the best in Manchester.”
The Portugal international beat out the likes of Marcos Alonso, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Matt Doherty to the award.
