Liverpool continue march towards title
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side secured a 2-0 win over West Ham United this morning to make it 23 wins out of 24 games in the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah’s first-half penalty and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s second-half strike helped Liverpool move 19 points clear at the top of the league ahead of closest contenders Manchester City.
However, despite the comfortable victory, Klopp appeared to be less than pleased with his side.
“It was not a brilliant performance. I wish we’d done better, but I’ll take it like it is.
“If it was easy to win this amount of games a lot of other teams would have done it. It was a tough game. We’ve played some super games, this was just a game,” said the 52-year-old German.
Liverpool have now beaten every other team in the Premier League this season.
