Rashford out for three months
Manchester United forward and England international Marcus Rashford faces up to three months out with a fracture in his back.
The 22-year-old was forced off the pitch just 16 minutes after coming on against Wolves in the Emirates FA Cup and did not feature in Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to rivals Liverpool this morning.
And now according to The Times writer Henry Winter, Rashford has suffered a double stress fracture in his back and will be out for 2-3 months.
With the Red Devils short on options in the attacking department, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the club could be looking to sign a couple of players on short term deals.
“We’re always looking at chances to improve the squad – with Marcus out for a while we have to look at it closely.
“We’ve had many injuries for big players this season. It’s just an unfortunate situation we’re in. We might look at some short term deals as well that could take us through to the summer.
“We don’t desperately need a striker, if the right one is there and it fits for us… we’ve got players who are champing at the bit.”
