Robson hails Bruno IMPACT
Club legend Bryan Robson has praised the leadership qualities of Manchester United’s new signing Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese international has made an instant impact since his RM341.93 million arrival from Sporting Lisbon, with three goals and four assists in nine appearances.
And Robson, the club’s longest serving captain in history, has stressed that Fernandes possesses leadership skills which have often been lacking from Manchester United players in recent years.
“I think it helps that he was captain at Sporting. I just think it’s something that is naturally in you,” said the 63-year-old.
“Bruno looks as though he has got that natural leadership quality, where he demands from his team-mates and that’s good.
“What I do like to see when he’s on the pitch is, even though he’s a forward-minded player, he’s already swiveling and looking on his shoulder, demanding of his team-mates.
“He’s telling people to push in and have them where he wants them, which is great.”
