Silva to sign new short-term deal
Manchester City midfielder David Silva is reportedly set to sign a new short-term deal with the club, with his current contract set to expire next month.
The 34-year-old appeared certain to leave the Etihad this summer for David Beckham’s MLS side Inter Miami, after ten years in the Premier League.
But according to ESPN, the Spaniard now wants to extend his current contract at the club past July in order to have a proper send off with the club and fans.
Silva has made over 400 appearances for Manchester City, helping them win four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and five League Cups in the process.
