Sterling out for four weeks
Defending Premier League champions Manchester City have confirmed that Raheem Sterling will miss their upcoming clash with West Ham due to a hamstring injury.
Reports claim the England international could be ruled out for up to four weeks, meaning that he would miss the first leg of City’s Champions League last-16 tie against Real Madrid.
A tweet on Manchester City’s official account read:”Raheem Sterling will miss our game against West Ham this weekend after scans revealed he has suffered damage to his left hamstring.
“Everyone at City wishes @sterling7 a full and speedy recovery.”
It’s the first time in two years that the 25-year-old has been ruled out of action, with the previous one also being a hamstring injury in 2018 which kept him on the sidelines for six games.
