Werner holds out for Reds offer
RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is reportedly waiting for an offer from Liverpool despite being contacted by Manchester United and Chelsea.
The RM278 million-rated German international has been one of the hottest prospects in European football for a couple of years now and is said to be keen on a move to the English Premier League.
And according to Sport Bild’s head of football, Christian Falk, the 24-year-old is still holding out for an offer from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side despite the heavy interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
His move to Anfield seemed all but certain before football was suspended two months ago, with the Reds said to be keen on acquiring his services.
However, following recent developments, Liverpool are believed to be fearful of the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the transfer market.
Werner has amassed an amazing total of 88 goals from 150 appearances for RB Leipzig.
