5 reasons you should skip your workout

Do not go to the gym or do at-home-workouts if you’re experiencing anything from the list down below.

1.You’re not feeling well

Basically, you’re sick. It’s best for you to stay in your house to avoid infecting other people especially if you have a contagious illness. You should also take a day off if you’re feeling extra fatigued from yesterday’s workout as it may increase your chance of getting injured.

2.You didn’t get enough sleep

Sleep-deprivation can lead to impaired performance, difficulty to concentrate and fatigue. You should skip your workout until you get enough rest. This way your body can function better!

3.You’re drunk

If you’re feeling tipsy, do not go to the gym. You’ll be extra clumsy and your workout won’t really do anything for your body. If you go beyond what your body can endure, you might end up puking. Imagine how embarrassing it would be if you accidentally puked in front of your workout buddies or instructor.

4.You had too much coffee

A small amount of caffeine is good as an energy booster at the gym but if you overconsume it, it will be a problem. Your heart rate will raise and that’s not so good especially if you’re doing a high-intensity workout. This will later lead to a serious medical problem for you.

5.You don’t feel like it

It’s totally understandable if you don’t want to work out on some days however make sure you don’t make a habit out of it. It’s okay to rest but don’t quit.
