Fulham appoint “extraordinary” Ranieri
Fulham F.C. have confirmed the appointment of Claudio Ranieri as their new club manager on a multi-year contract following the sacking of Slavisa Jokanovic.
Jokanovic becomes the first managerial casualty of the current Premier League season, having just secured five points from 12 games.
Ranieri, who famously defied odds to win the Premier League title with Leicester City back in 2016, has been out of work since leaving French outfit Nantes in the summer.
In regards to the 67-year-old Italian joining Fulham, club owner and chairman Shahid Khan said, “His recent body of work with Leicester is legendary.
“Then you look at Claudio’s experience with Chelsea and big clubs throughout Europe and it’s pretty evident we are welcoming an extraordinary football man.”
