PFA: We’ve always been professional
The Perak Football Association (PFA) have offered an explanation in regards to allegations that 18 of their players have yet to receive overdue salary payments.
According to PFA, they have always operated in a professional manner and are very disappointed with the negative press that’s been circulating.
“On 7 January 2019 (Monday), PFA gave a detailed explanation to a representative from the President’s Cup squad and a representative from the Youth Cup 2018 squad and we were informed that the information was shared with the FAM Cup squad.
“This meeting was also held to solve a couple issues stemming from player misconducts that go against what has been agreed upon in the contracts. But none of the players from the FAM Cup 2018 turned up.
“We would like to reiterate that PFA have always worked to resolve all issues, including the issue in question, in a professional manner.
“PFA is very disappointed with the current predicament and shall take legal action against those attempting to tarnish our image,” read PFA’s media statement.
