Reds suffer heartbreak in Paris
Liverpool were beaten 2-1 by Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in Group C of the UEFA Champions League this morning.
Juan Bernat gave the hosts an early lead through a goal in the 13th minute and Brazilian Neymar made the score 2-0 in the 37th minute thanks to some brilliant link-up play with teammate Kylian Mbappe.
James Milner pulled one back for the Reds in stoppage time of the first half, which was their only effort on target in the opening period.
Despite performing better in the second half, Liverpool were unable to find that all-important equalising goal.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will now need to defeat Napoli 1-0 or by two clear goals in order to progress to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
